Biography: Dr. Jenny Tonsing has lived, studied and worked in several countries-India, Hong Kong, England, Singapore, Fiji, and currently in the United States. These cross-cultural experiences have broadened her perspectives and understanding of cultural diversity and enabled her to embrace diversity in a respectful manner. Jenny is passionate about social work and transforming lives. The underpinning paradigm that guides her work and research is based on social justice. Her field of research focuses on the intersection of socio-cultural and structural factors and the ways in which it affects vulnerable groups, particularly women and children struggling with violence in the home. Jenny has disseminated her work both at national and international levels and her work is published in leading scholarly peer journals.
