MSW student participated in the Alzheimer's Advocacy Forum in Washington, DC

Rikki Rogers and other North Carolina Delegates for the Alzheimer’s Association

Rikki Rogers, a first year Appalachian MSW student, recently participated in the Alzheimer's Advocacy Forum in Washington, DC. Rikki received the opportunity to travel to the Forum through her field placement at Adult Life Programs in Hickory, NC. She was accompanied by her field supervisor, Mark Bumgarner, and other North Carolina Delegates for the Alzheimer's Association as they visited legislators on Capitol Hill. During the forum, the group had the opportunity to meet with North Carolina's Senator Thom Tillis, along with other legislators and legislative staff. Thank you Rikki for representing Appalachian's Social Work Department in Washington, DC!
