The entire month of March is Social Work Month, but the first week of March is dedicated to School Social Work Week! School Social Workers are a vital part of school systems and work tirelessly to support and advocate for their students, often facing challenges with grace and determination. Their ability to connect with students and families is remarkable and its evident that School Social Workers make an impact and transform lives on a daily basis. We are proud of all of our program alumni who are School Social Workers!
Students, if you are interested in pursuing a career as a School Social Worker in North Carolina, you need the School Social Work Licensure. Our Department Program Specialist, Kayla Warren, will be hosting several Zoom info sessions over the next couple of weeks to present and discuss the licensure process and required courses at App State. You only need to attend one session as the same information will be presented at each. Please RSVP here.
