From the University: "Graduate Student Appreciation Week recognizes and celebrates graduate students. The week was started in 1993 by the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students as a way to support and appreciate graduate students. GSAW seeks to emphasize the contributions, impact, and value of graduate and professional students on campuses throughout the United States. App State and the Cratis D. Williams School of Graduate Studies celebrate the week with a variety of events and recognition opportunities.
