No Invitation Needed

Day to Day Struggles

No Invitation Needed is a free informal drop-in group for Appalachian State University students.

These sessions meet daily over Zoom from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and are facilitated by MSW interns through the Social Work Care Collaborative at BCHS Interprofessional Clinic. Though attendance is not required, students are encouraged to drop-in whenever they feel they might need extra support or just someone to talk to about their day. This group is for all students, and we aim to provide a safe environment for students of all backgrounds and identities.

No Invitation Needed offers a space where we can focus on building connections, sharing and exchanging ideas, and learning from each other in a relaxed, low-commitment setting. We are here to support students who are struggling with motivation, focus, isolation, disconnection or other challenges common during the pandemic.  Stop in for a few minutes between classes, bring your lunch, or bring a friend! Just as the name states, there is no invitation needed and students can attend as often as they wish.

Join us as we gather in community, share, and provide one another with much needed support. Drop in Now!
